Una oportunidad para conocer de primera mano las investigaciones y aplicaciones de la Economía del dónut. Este modelo propuesto por Kate Raworth plantea reacomodar nuestro sistema socioeconómico entre un techo ecologíco, que no podemos rebasar, y un suelo social, por debajo del cual no hay vidas dignas de ser vividas.
Este encuentro online del 20 Oct a las 18:00h (hora de Europa Central), coorganizado por el Foro de Transciciones y La Casa Encendida, propone también reflexionar sobre las estrategias prioritarias para acelerar la transición hacia nuevos modelos socioeconómicos y políticos, repensando nuestras realidades socioeconómicas y políticas desde la óptica de las transiciones ecosociales.
La mesa redonda cuenta con la participación de Andrew Fanning y Yayo Herrero. Tras la ponencia, se abre un debate con el público.
- Andrew Fanning es analista de datos del Doughnut Economics Action Lab e investigador de la Universidad de Leeds. En su intervención presenta las conclusiones de los valiosos trabajos que han desarrollado durante estos últimos años para ilustrar y comunicar de una forma muy clara la extralimitación de nuestros metabolismos económicos, así como los indicadores de sostenibilidad que están desarrollando para tratar de impulsar transiciones ecosociales.
- Yayo Herrero es antropóloga, activista ecofeminista y presidenta del Foro de Transiciones. A la luz de la Economía del dónut y de otros trabajos, presenta algunas de las líneas maestras que debería tener en cuenta cualquier estrategia orientada a pilotar transiciones ecosociales. Algo especialmente relevante con el proceso de reconstrucción económica postpandemia que sentará las bases del modelo socioeconómico para las próximas décadas.
