During this event we will collectively explore the question: ‘How can Leeds be home to thriving people, in a thriving place whilst respecting the wellbeing of all people worldwide and the health of the whole planet?’
Our launch event exploring the groundbreaking approaches of Doughnut Economics is set to be a day of fully interactive group activities to imagine this new future for Leeds, with workshops and discussions on what a safe and thriving Leeds means for everyone in practice.
Hosted by TV and radio broadcaster Peg Alexander, with key headline addresses from Leonora Grcheva, Cities and Regions Lead at the Doughnut Economics Action Lab, and Imandeep Kaur, Co-founder and Director of CIVIC SQUARE, Birmingham. We’ll hear from doughnut experts from the city strategic level down to the neighbourhood scale to understand the power of the doughnut in action, as well as present our first Leeds City Portrait report.
The event is primarily taking place in person at the city centre location of Open Innovations, from 9.30-5pm (lunch provided) with the afternoon dedicated to putting all of this into action, where you will get to test the doughnut process with real life examples, together.
To join us in person, sign up here. [In person spaces are limited so please only sign up if you are able to join].
