Donut Berlin Workshop for Acting Sustainably (Draft)

Donut Berlin Workshop for Acting Sustainably - Session for the Council for Sustainable Development

On the play street Forster Straße, Donut Berlin will build a mobile and modular workshop for sustainable action, to help make the Doughnut Economy tangible.  For each of the Doughnut Principles, visitors can try out a "tool" at 7 stations, carry out a small experiment, or solve a puzzle.

"If you want to teach people a new way of thinking, don't bother trying to teach them. Instead, give them a tool, the use of which will lead to new ways of thinking."  Buckminster Fuller

We are aiming to create a humorous, playful insight, a hands-on 'aha' experience, and a positive reminder of what is called, funnily enough, Doughnut Economics, which is fundamentally related to the life of one and all. We already have all the tools we need for a sustainable, future-proof economy: we just need to use them.

Our workshop is the main action of the German Council for Sustainable Development as part of their German Action Days on Sustainability, which are celebrating their tenth anniversary. Some members of the RNE will also try their hand at the individual Doughnut Principle stations, in the afternoon!
