AGORA 2030: Inclusive Culture and Living Heritage (Past)
Foresight-driven workshop shaping Izmir’s 2030 cultural heritage vision through community and regeneration.
Please Note: This event has now finished and can no longer be joined.
“Agora 2030: Participatory Culture & Living Heritage Workshop” explores how the latest thinking in Doughnut Economics can shape the future of cultural heritage in İzmir—an 8,500-year-old Mediterranean city with deep historical layers.
The workshop examines cultural heritage through seven interconnected themes:
- Civic Rights
- Community-Based Production
- Heritage Literacy
- Regeneration
- Economy & Sustainability
- Digital Heritage & Innovation
- Entrepreneurship Ecosystems
Our aim is to produce a public declaration and an accompanying draft report that will be shared as an open-for-comment document (“askıda rapor”). Following public input—and especially insights from cities already working with the Doughnut framework—we will publish the final Agora 2030 Declaration, offering a shared vision for the future of İzmir’s cultural heritage.
We warmly welcome contributions from Doughnut-inspired cities and communities worldwide.
