A guide for getting started
DEAL has developed this guide for all those working to bring Doughnut Economics into their sector, from health and tourism to the built environment, energy, construction, fashion and technology. It offers foundational recommendations, along with key boundaries to keep the integrity of Doughnut Economics intact.
The guide is informed by DEAL’s mapping of more than 60 sectoral initiatives worldwide, and by interviews with practitioners from these initiatives. It draws out the common patterns, challenges and reasons they turn to Doughnut Economics, and showcases practical examples.
This is a first step, and it will grow as the practice matures. Practitioners are invited to share their lessons learned on DEAL’s Community Platform.
