CADE 2022 Por un Panamá Sostenible: Transformación del modelo económico, institucional y social.

During the CADE 2022 by APEDE, we discussed the transformation towards a sustainable Panama, exploring the application of Doughnut Economics principles and promoting more sustainable tourism based on the circular economy. We emphasized the importance of changing the current economic model to address Panama's environmental, social, and economic challenges, fostering business associativity and strategic alliances in line with Doughnut Economics principles.

Relationship with Doughnut Economics, Sustainable Tourism, and Business Associativity:
During my intervention, we explored how to implement circular economic models in the tourism industry to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability. We also discussed balancing basic human needs with the planet's ecological limits in tourism development. We highlighted the importance of changing the current economic model based on Doughnut Economics, which seeks to balance human needs and planetary boundaries, thus promoting a more equitable and sustainable development in Panama and fostering business associativity and strategic alliances.
