The climate crisis is closely tied to decades of unsustainable economic models. While some believe small tweaks will suffice, others call for a radical rethink of progress. This Climate Café explores climate challenges from an economics perspective, with three 15-minute talks:

  • Prof. Ken Thomson: A Conventional Economist’s View
  • William Thomson (Scotonomics): The Macroeconomic Framing of Sustainability
  • Vinishree Solanki (Doughnut Economics Network Scotland): Applying Doughnut Economics in Scotland

Followed by a Q&A session.
 Doors open at 6:30pm at NESCol (Loch Street entrance), talks start at 7pm. Café open for drinks and conversation.
