Co-Creation Sessions: Housing For Key Workers (Past)

Fast Forward 2030 is pleased to announce a special edition of The Co-Creation Sessions in partnership with The Key Worker Homes Fund.

Over half of London's key workers cannot afford to live in the city that needs them. The new £100m fund works with London’s Local Authorities and Housing Associations to accelerate the delivery of affordable, sustainable, beautiful homes for key workers, near where they work.

We’ve teamed up with Goodsted, Skyroom & The Impact Founders for an event featuring the leading entrepreneurs in key worker homes and sustainable housing, with the chance to get stuck into some peer-to-peer learning and collaboration.

1. Arthur Kay, CEO of Skyroom and Chair of the Key Worker Homes Fund

Arthur Kay is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur , an all star in Forbes' 30 under 30 and featured in MIT's Innovators under 35. His business, Skyroom, is an award-winning technology and urban development company which delivers precision-manufactured homes for key workers in the airspace above existing buildings. Their affordable, sustainable homes mean key workers can live near where they work.

Skyroom is Arthur's second impact business. While only an undergrad at UCL he founded BioBean, now the world's largest recycler of coffee grounds.

2. Ehab Sayed, Director of Innovation & Founder of Biohm

Ehab Sayed is a sustainable designer, engineer, circular economy strategist and built environment innovator with a passion for creating a biomimetic (nature-inspired) circular future. He founded Biohm, a multi-award-winning research and development led, bio-manufacturing company. They allow nature to lead innovation, to revolutionise construction and create a healthier, more sustainable, built-environment.

Alongside his work at Biohm, Ehab is also researching a PhD thesis in architectural innovation at Northumbria University.

3. Anna Clare Harper, CEO of SPI Capital

SPI Capital is an algorithm-driven property asset manager that creates hands-free residential portfolios for private investors. SPI Capital's mission is to transform how HNWI invest in residential property so that they can preserve and grow their wealth easily, whilst providing much-needed homes for the UK and its key workers.

Anna was named one of Bisnow’s ‘Women Leading Real Estate’, and published Amazon Best Seller, Strategic Property Investing. She previously developed the strategy and built the seed portfolio for a HNWI-backed fund targeting a £100m+ housing portfolio, worked on £2bn+ transactions as a Strategist at Deloitte and studied real estate at Cambridge. Anna is a TedX speaker, hosts a leading property podcast and is regularly featured in leading publications including the Financial Times, BBC and The Daily Telegraph.
