Civic Square is curating Here is Hope area at Timber Festival where DEAL will lead an interactive fun-filled session

Co-creating regenerative and distributive economies through Doughnut Economics Join us for a fun filled and arts and crafts inspired interactive session where you will: a) learn more about the sweetest new economic thinking that is transforming communities and cities around the world - Doughnut Economics b) explore how you, your family and your community can engage and take actions to transform our economies so that they can meet the needs of all people within the means of the living plane The session is led by Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL). DEAL is part of the emerging global movement of new economic thinking and doing. DEAL’s aim is to help create 21st century economies that are regenerative and distributive by design, so that they can meet the needs of all people within the means of the living planet.


This session is a part of Here is Hope space curated by Civic Square at the Timber Festival between 5-7 July, bringing together artists, practitioners, and imagineers from neighbourhoods across the country. Civic Square will facilitate opportunities to listen, play, make, and explore ideas together, reflecting on how we can all take action in our homes, streets and neighbourhoods towards safe and just futures. 

The Timber Festival provide a fun filled weekend for like-minded folk, to celebrate and strengthen our connection with the natural world. The Festival takes place at Feanedock, a 70 acre woodland site on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border and part of the forest in the making at the heart of the National Forest, near Ashby de la Zouch.
