Climate Hope Lincoln are pleased to announce Paul Chibeba from Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust will be joining us to explore Access to Nature & Community Engagement. Paul’s role within the Trust is to lead on Public Engagement & Communications & we are pleased he’s able to join Rebekah Gibbins for a meaningful final day of GDD Lincoln 2025.
Rebekah helped plan this year’s BioBlitz at the University of Lincoln & has recently completed her master’s degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Nature Recovery. Rebekah is passionate about Citizen Science and engaging with local schools, exploring Nature positive themes with the young people and empowering them to be the difference in their community.
These are two important topics that bring the week to a close as we consider our next steps going forward.
Nature is important for our wellbeing but we’ll also consider access to Nature from the perspective of hedgehogs, swallows and our domestic friends too, ‘how can we help Nature’s Recovery now' and what can we do as a caring community in Lincoln to support the Local Nature Recovery Strategy, which is due to have a draft proposal for public consultation soon.
Climate Hope Lincoln would like to thank the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) for funding to enable our GDD to go ahead.
Any funds or donations we receive from ticket sales will enable us to hold more community events linked to DE in 2026. If there are any difficulties with costs & would like to attend, please contact Debbie through the link on the website.
