How does the event relate to Doughnut Economics?

This workshop explores the concept of Planetary Boundaries, one of the two scientific foundations of Doughnut Economics. While Doughnut Economics combines the ecological ceiling (Planetary Boundaries) with the social foundation needed for human well-being, this workshop focuses specifically on understanding Earth's ecological limits and why respecting them is essential for creating a safe and just future.

Participants will discover how human activities affect Earth's systems, develop systems thinking skills, and explore practical ways to contribute to regenerative and sustainable solutions. The workshop is organized by the Swiss Donut Economics Network as part of its mission to promote the ideas and practice of Doughnut Economics in Switzerland, and is one of the two events we are organizing for this years Global Doughnut days.
