Post Crash meets Transform:GM

A special event for students and members of the Post Crash Economics Society at the University of Manchester, picking up the threads of past conversations that emerged following the global financial crisis of 2008 and bringing new energy inspired by a new cohort of brilliant minds!

This energetic session includes an activity designed by one of Transform:GM’s members, Life On Mars! We will also be up on our feet forming the Doughnut shape as a group whilst taking part in lively discussions which ask: what does the future of Economics look like?

This is a closed event at the University of Manchester, however it feeds into an open event the following day (Thursday 22nd) by Transform:GM, to be held at Spinningfields which focuses on kicking off the Greater Manchester Portrait of Place - also posted here on DEAL for Global Donut Days 2026!
