Donut Economics offers a vision for how humanity can meet the needs of all people within the means of our planet. Picture a world with universal access to food, housing, healthcare and political voice while we maintain a stable climate, fertile soils, and a protective ozone layer. We can get there by changing our goals from the pursuit of growth and profit to instead thriving and thinking in systems that allow us to experiment and adapt in a dynamic world. Adam Pickergill and Megan Stachura from the Seattle Donut Economics Coalition will share an introduction to Donut Economics before interactively exploring how these ideas can be applied in the roles and day-to-day practice of accounting to help us work towards a world where everyone can thrive. This event is in collaboration with the Accounting Alchemy Network and held as part of Global Donut Days 2025.
