Hi, I'm a high school physics teacher teaching about climate change, and more importantly, what we can do about it (and ideally, getting students involved, empowered, sparking changes in their community!).
My physics background has led me to develop a personal interest in making our buildings healthier and low carbon
# healthybuildings
hashtag_lookup:#healthybuildings . In my years reading and learning and acting on climate, I've found that so many issues are systemic, and interrelated (whether it's housing, criminal justice, voting, or education). I've learned about a lot of ideas that have been useful (systems thinking from the Multisolving Institute, engineering design process and Minimum Viable Products from the Lean Startup, civic power from Eric Liu) and doughnut economics seems to tie a lot of great ideas together elegantly and concisely. It's biggest shortcoming to my mind is that it's not a recipe for action, but that's where this action lab and community fit in I suppose. Here's to turning great ideas into action.
