Max von Abendroth

Max von Abendroth is a strategic leader, building ecosystems for change. He is currently working with MDIF (Media Development Investment Fund, New York & Bratislava) and WAPPP (World Association of PPP Units & Professionals, Geneva). His passion is to connect people and ideas across sectors and geographies to allow inclusive and collaborative alliances for systems change to emerge.

Max is the former Executive Director of Dafne, the European umbrella organisation of philanthropy, representing 10,000 public benefit foundations across Europe, where he developed the interest representation of Europe’s philanthropy sector and created opportunities for new public private partnerships for the entire philanthropy sector, such as in the InvestEU programme. He is the initiator of the Philanthropy for Climate movement.
