Claire Masterson
I currently work as a researcher, and a lecturer in the department of biomedical engineering at the University of Galway.
My interest in sustainability and going green comes from long term exposure to life-science based research where an alarming amount of plastic and biohazard waste is generated. I lecture in the circular and doughnut economies to post graduate MSc and PhD students from various backgrounds. Working closely with Galway Green labs, my goal is to ensure that the University of Galway Sustainability Strategy objective of getting labs green certified is achieved by 2025.
