Matias Romero

I am a citizen of Chile and the world. My interest in Doughnut Economics is due to the fact that I believe a new regenerative, inclusive, interconnected, and collaborative economic model is needed with urgency. We need to put the basic human needs and the environment in the center of discussions and policy making. 
Changes to the current neoclassical model are taking place and have been accelerated due to the pressures of climate change and the recent COVID-19 which reframed the role of the state, civil society and companies to solve day-to-day pressures in an interconnected and efficient way.
