I am retired from working in the water policy, watershed management field in Southern California. Water has always been and is increasingly a scarce resource here. It seems to me that the mindset of those charged with managing water has for too long been that there is always more water somewhere. We are now realizing that is not true.

I have also wondered what an economy not based on consumerism would look like. Doughnut Economics provides a theory for such an economy. I am keenly interested in learning ways that theory can be put into practice.
