Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsI have been a high school environmental science and biology teacher at Prosser Career Academy for 20 years. I try to teach science through the lens of individual health, social justice and global environmental issues. My students have taught me a lot, but I think the most important thing is that without a real caring relationship between people, learning cannot happen. It is personal and emotional, and if it isn’t, then people probably aren’t learning very much. The non profit I run called Chicago Farm Lab allows me to teach authentic, hands-on lessons about plants and animals, ecology, sustainable agriculture, self sufficiency, examples of entrepreneurship in local agriculture and so much more.
