Pedro Maciel

My name is Pedro Maciel and I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am graduated in Industrial Engineer and currently taking a Masters Degree on Sustainability Science. I have a Start Up that produces contents and events where we use the power of sports as a channel to communicate the importance of Ecological Literacy. I have a deep relationship with oceans as an avid surfer, I've traveled across 5 continents in search of waves, and these experiences made me realize what my purpose in the world is. I've been teaming up with several engaged professionals in Brazil with the intention to collaborate in search of solutions and business models that will help our society in the much need transition towards a more sustainable, fair and thriving society. Today, the focal area of my activities has been the coastal zone, due to Rio de Janeiro intrinsic relationship to beach lifestyle.
