Linda Etchart
I am a lecturer in development studies, international political economy, human rights, sustainability and the environment, with a special focus on Latin America. My current research concerns indigenous peoples’ rights across the Americas in relation to the extractive industries, envisaging a gradual move away from commodity exports towards a localization of production and consumption.
I am a regular contributor to the Latin America Bureau, and author of Global Governance of the Environment, the Rights of Nature and Indigenous Peoples: Extractive Industries in the Ecuadorian Amazon (Palgrave Macmillan 2022).
