I am here because I know change needs to be collective. I want to connect with others, it doesn’t matter the industry, to help support each other and stay focused in a world that works through a different paradigm.
I have worked in the fashion industry for 20 years and have gone back to upskill studying Sustainability in my industry. I was frustrated trying to get accurate information on the clothing sector and decided to go back and get it firsthand and am loving it! But it is also incredibly disturbing to learn about the high levels of chemical use (8,000 different chemicals) and the degradation in human and environmental health in low cost manufacturing countries. And for a garment that is often worn just once. I am looking forward to living in a different world than this and I want to be part of the change and solution.
