 I am the coordinator and one of the two founder members of a small group seeking regional autonomy for where we lived, called Democratic Yorkshire.

For me, Democratic Yorkshire is a spiritual journey as much  as anything else. An inclusive society and the move towards an ecological civilisation are just as important as creating a vibrant, participative democracy. The three go hand in hand. 

Switching to a model of 'Doughnut Economics' is essential to the regions future and to providing hope to our children and future generations of Yorkshire girls and boys.

At 70 years of age, it is their future that really matters.
