Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsI love selling sustainable ideas in life. I use plastic bags and recycable stuff embracing the belief humans are just visitors on earth. There is a saying in Buddhism “菩萨畏因,众生畏果”. The meaning of this statement is: mortals are more concerned with the result, while Bodhisattvas are more concerned with the cause. These two different kinds of thinking will naturally lead to two different kinds of behavior: mortals will go to any lengths for the sake of results, while Bodhisattvas are only concerned with the reasonableness of their actions and care less about the results (which, of course, are usually good). Thus, each of human being should act after considerate thinking (causes), not only persuing short-term benefits (results).
