I am working with incredible individuals across the world who are committed to transforming the built environment. I believe that we need to create the future we want rather than being recipients of the future we get. I was one of the instigators of the UK 'Our Vision for the Built Environment' which describes that future: a built environment whose explicit purpose is to enable people and nature to flourish together for generations. The follow up 'Our Shared Understanding: a circular economy in the built environment' was launched at the World Circular Economy Forum in June 2023.
My areas of focus are: a systems approach to managing the built environment; Project 13, the outcome-focused, collaborative delivery model; digital transformation (including smart infrastructure, digital delivery, connected digital twins, data and information and data-sharing infrastructure); carbon reduction, circular economy & biodiversity and people, including equality, diversity & inclusion.
