My name is Aryan Garg, and I am a highly motivated, diligent, and determined individual, driven by a fervent pursuit of excellence and a strong sense of moral values. My academic journey began with an Economics Honors degree at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, where I developed a deep interest in sustainable economic models. My research, particularly on Chinese economic growth, fueled my passion for understanding how economies can thrive within planetary boundaries while ensuring social equity.
During my time at university, I was actively involved in the Economics Society of KMC (ECOSOC), which provided me with opportunities to engage with complex economic theories and their real-world applications. My academic achievements include excelling in the CAT exam with a 96th percentile overall and a standout score of 98th percentile in the quantitative ability section, leading to my admission to the Department of Business Economics at the University of Delhi for an MBA in Business Economics.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a background in competitive chess, representing India in international tournaments. This experience has honed my analytical thinking and strategic planning skills, which I now seek to apply to the field of sustainable economics.
I am particularly drawn to the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) because of its innovative approach to creating economies that are regenerative and distributive by design. I am eager to contribute my skills in research, analysis, and strategic thinking to help advance DEAL's mission of transforming how we understand and practice economics in the 21st century.
