I am a Filipino junior economist and researcher dedicated to advancing economic literacy and diverse economic perspectives in the Philippines. My work across both public and private sectors has allowed me to contribute to significant development projects, including the Philippine Public Opinion Monitor and studies on Filipino youth aspirations, economic policy, and environmental impact. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in project management, data collection, analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
In my 1-year stint as a Research Associate at a private research and polling firm, I led the programming of digital surveys, train field researchers throughout the Philippines, and manage sampling and data quality control to ensure accurate insights. My commitment to promoting economic literacy extends beyond my professional work; I actively volunteer with organizations like Ekonsepto (Rethinking Economics Philippines) and the Young Scholars Initiative, advocating for pluralist and heterodox approaches to economics education.
As an aspiring economics teacher, I am particularly interested in opportunities that bridge economics, community development, and education, where I can leverage my research skills to support projects that foster massive, inclusive and practical access to knowledge of basic economic concepts. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals in economics, policy, and education who are dedicated to making economic concepts accessible and relevant to all.
