I have over 25 years’ experience in social impact and vulnerability and resilience, climate change impact assessment, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and I have worked extensively with national governments, UN agencies, International Financial Institutions, bilateral and multilateral donors, INGOs, NGOs, civil society, faith groups and community groups.
As a senior civil servant I had input into DRR and DRM policy, planning and operations management which has given me insight into the practicalities of DRR and CCA. I have contributed to risk, vulnerability and resilience assessment programs, climate change impact and risk management, policy and program development and implementation.
I have led program development, capacity building and monitoring and evaluation teams in Australia,Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, the Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mozambique, Indonesia, Bangla Desh, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Laos.
