I am Dr. Henry Ofurune, a sustainable development expert with proven track record in leading impactful development programmes across community development, sustainable livelihoods, agriculture . I brings over two decades of extensive experience working in underserved communities. My career spans Africa and North America where I successfully designed, managed, and implemented donor-funded development projects by leading global development agencies such as the World Bank, USAID, USADF, IFAD, MISEREOR, DFID,COMIC RELIEF, USIP, and MacArthur Foundation.
I brings a unique blend of strategic leadership, grassroot development and cross-cultural collaboration. My work has consistently focused on driving sustainable change by empowering communities, building institutional capacities and fostering inclusive economic opportunities. I effectively bridge academic theory with real-world practice, translating scholarly insights into meaningful, practical impact. I hold a PhD in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy and I am also an Associate Member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS).
