Ole Pedersen

Ole Pedersen is a social entrepreneur running his own social enterprise Nedenfra / From below.

From below aims at creating opportunities for and enhancing democratic participation in urban development. Pedersen has an evolutionary approach and his work is focused on local contexts, while keeping an eye on European and international movements, policies and development across disciplines.

He is behind the Tøyen Boligkonferanse, turned festival in 2020, putting cooperative and collaborative housing on the Norwegian public agenda. He has also been a driving force establishing Tøyen boligbyggelag (Tøyen Housing Construction Cooperative). Ole holds an interdisciplinary master degree in innovation from ESST – Society, Science and Technology in Europe.
