Katja Dietrich

With my degree in Economic Geography and Urban and Regional Planning, I contributed to change with GIZ and UN-Habitat in urban areas in Africa, the Pacific, the Caribbean and Arab States. Since January I have the privilege to contribute to the further development of my home region, working on adequate housing and inclusive neighborhoods in Leipzig.

Urbanism is my passion. I love listening to a wide range of urban dwellers; transforming scattered information into projects; identifying strategies to lower urban poverty; finding new and creative ways to rebuild cities; matching ideas and money sources; bringing people together aiming for just development; observing political processes and power struggles ........... and always staying curious.
