As the Director of Sustainability at MGA | Michael Green Architecture, I am responsible for high level strategic direction as well as day-to-day team support. I embrace the messiness and interconnectedness of our built, natural, and social systems and explore how we can leverage those connections to create places that serve both people and planet. I work with the MGA team to maintain industry-leading knowledge on embodied carbon in construction, and to advance the opportunities presented by sustainably sourced mass timber.
Our building industry is a major contributor to climate change and environmental degradation. We specify materials, products, and building performance that have long-term impacts both within and beyond our communities. We also run and partner with large companies who are active within our current economy. How can we design within the doughnut? Where does our influence begin and end?
