Doughnut Economics About DEAL DEAL Team Careers FAQ Principles & Guidelines Wider Movement Contact UsVerónica Dahl is an Argentine/Canadian computer scientist who is recognized as one of the 15 world founders of the field of logic programming. She has contributed over 150 scientific publications in computational linguistics, deductive knowledge bases, computational molecular biology and web based virtual worlds. She has received numerous scientific awards- such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Award for Science and Technology-, and three literary awards. Her greatest ambition is to help bridge the gap between the formal and the humanistic sciences, in the hopes that this will be conducive to an overall more balanced world. She is presently Professor Emeritus in Computing Sciences at Simon Fraser University, and Associate Professor in Cognitive Sciences, also at SFU. Her research is supported by NSERC.
