Joana Coutinho

Joana grew up in the Azores and at 20 left Law in Lisbon for Organic Agriculture in the UK. Her diverse portfolio includes project management, lecturing, business ownership and advisory in geographies as disperse as Brazil, Madagascar or Indonesian Borneo. Post-graduated in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies, and moved back to the Azores in 2014. A mother of two, she currently runs three sustainability-focussed small businesses. She sees herself as a change agent and a facilitator in the transition to a world of enhanced environmental and social justice.
