I am Comms & Engagement Lead at Climate Action Leeds, working for a 'zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just Leeds by the 2030s'. This is an ambitious, Lottery-funded project linking up local and city-wide communities to act, plan and build a movement of action and change. We are using Doughnut methodologies to help us do this, we have set up the Leeds Doughnut Coalition and are working with the University of Leeds on our first sketch city portrait.

I am a researcher at Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness, I hold a Ph.D. in Business and Territorial Competitiveness, Innovation, and Sustainability from the University of Deusto (Spain). I am an early-career innovation researcher with a focus on firm innovation in emerging economies (Doing, Using, and Interacting with little Research and Development capabilities). After reading Doughnut Economics I want to get involved in this community and use my platform to convey its ideas to my peers at Orkestra and to the regional economic agents, changemakers, and policymakers in the Basque Country.

Hello, I'm really interested in supporting action to reverse global environmental degradation. I’ve always been concerned about the environmental degradation I am very much a part of. My efforts have been inadequate and commitment insufficient to what I believe is the most important issue of my lifetime. Deep down, I was feebly hoping that there were smart people who were working on this task and that I could leave it to them. Of course, there are, but I would like to be involved in whatever way I can to “take out the trash” or do whatever other menial tasks I can to support such leaders.

I work as a project manager and IT consultant and see myself as a navigator and explorer in the world of collaboration, the design of new working environments and the use of digital tools. I am a forest dweller, a nature, music and sports lover with an open and curious mindset. Since I worked with "system dynamics" in my student years, I have a systemic and holistic view of the world. I think the doughnut can be a helpful model to tackle some of the significant challenges of the 21st-century.

I trained as an economist and a chartered accountant, worked in business and then built my career in the charity sector. I hate to see valuable resources (inc natural, human energy, money) wasted and am deeply troubled by the big social and environmental problems we have in the world. We need to think differently about how we tackle these problems - through innovation and collaboration. I strongly believe in business as being a force for good and want to help businesses integrate social and environmental impact into their business models in a totally genuine way.
