Architect, curious, critic and optimistic, I’m FabLab Lisboa program coordinator, Repair Café Lisboa co-founder, Reviravolta mentor and Fábrica Cívica underdog. Worked many years at the rehabilitation department of Lisbon’s city council. Now I’m into: Creative Hubs - the power of “do it together”, Circular Economy Portugal Association, and enjoying being a fellow of Urban Arenas for Just and Sustainable cities (UE Program). I've been looking to this world in change since I subscribed to the national geographic magazine in the year 1982 so almost 40 years looking at what we are doing to our cities and planet was a drive to adhere to the Doughnut Economics Action Lab community.

Citizen of Lisboa, environmental engineer and currently working on several projects related to Sustainability and Circular Economy with the Municipality of Lisbon and the Lisbon Energy and Environment Agency: Lisbon E-nova. Responsible for several years for waste management in the city of Lisbon. Personally, I confess myself as an eternally fascinated with the balance of the planet and the efficiency of cities. I would also love to be able to watch the day when the word "waste" starts to have a historical and outdated context in the dictionaries and in all the vocabulary of the planet. It will be evidence that all products and materials have a secondary raw material function.

Hello, my name's John from Ireland, but resident in Berlin for quite some time now. I run coworking spaces and am interested in not only how I personally can help, but also in what ways my spaces can influence its coworkers to take steps to help us all to greater prosperity. I'm well aware of the dangers of businesses co-opting this movement, but I also believe it takes everyone, citizens, public and private sector to work together to make this more realistic. From that sense, I'm interested in looking at ways to reconcile the two without causing any harm to the movement itself. Happy to discuss this more with anyone, get in touch with me on LinkedIn.
