I have a growing interest in making economics and finance serve people and nature. I work in NatureScot, Scotland's nature agency, helping to lead our work to achieve a nature-rich future for Scotland, with widespread adoption of nature-based solutions to climate change. I have a particular role in developing the role of private investment in natural capital working closely with colleagues in government, SEPA, Scottish Wildlife Trust and elsewhere. I live in the beautiful, wild, culturally rich Shetland Islands.

I am here because I believe in justice for all. When I first read Doughnut Economics which I had no idea what I was getting into but I came out with a clear picture of what a just economy could be. Currently I am a lawyer from Puerto Rico that is in the equitable housing movement. I belive that if you value equality and community than your actions and the world that you want have to reflect those values. I am a hopeful person because I believe it is a necessary ingridient but a sufficient one for change and progress. I am result driven but value oriented I try to not lose sight of why I do what I do.

I use nature to coach individuals to inspire and guide individual transformation. I involve myself in projects that have a positive social impact and involve people in a natural way that encourages kindness and understanding. I aim to use my innate talents to help everyone and the planet to thrive. My decades spent in facilitating change in large organisations helps me understand how to transform this 'community' to achieve positive social change.

I have been an environmental activist for years, worried about how best to change the global economy, industrial civilization and our rampant consumerism to make the world abundant enough for all our needs, instead of some's greed. Doughnut Economics is the way to go.

Hi all! Farah from Singapore here. I’m here for the learning community. Here in Singapore, I pioneered a repair movement called Repair Kopitiam and I was part of a team that built the first maker space in Singapore. Sustainability is really intriguing to me and it has become a life pursuit! I also co-founded FiTree, a Islamic environmental group that reminds fellow Muslims to fulfil our duties of protectors of the Earth.

Slowest Revolutionary. Just a novice in addressing the eco-paralysis which exists in our society. An altruist who is learning about the paradigm shift from neoliberalism to Doughnutism (Social Equitable Ecological Economy). I believe knowledge from the indigenous/tribal communities is a way to mitigate the climate crisis and plug policies which would make "clean environment" a human right, it could be a start. Belonging to the largest democracy in the world, it is imperative for India to look at new alternatives and to shift to a circular economy soon, for a happier society.

I was born in the middle east but have lived in the U.S. since I was a teenager. I've worked throughout the developing world on technology policy with telco operators, internet platform companies, and governments. I did a short stint at the World Economic Forum were learned how to distinguish between a "think-tank" and "do-tank." I left the WEF wanting to "do more and talk less," and co-founded a fintech company using blockchain to disrupt investment banking. I subsequently learned what happens when a company grows faster than its available capital. I've been doing freelance consulting for the past 18 months or so, mostly research and writing for the Economist Intelligence Unit.
