I equip companies and governments to grow internationally. I care about this being done in a sustainable way. My drive is to enable people to create businesses, products and services that unlock and distribute new growth in the world. I work to understand the successful business models behind the worlds fastest growing companies; the tech giants with their winner-takes-all outcomes, and translate it for leaders wanting scalable yet equitable businesses. I'm an ExO coach and trainer. Ex-ITC (UN/WTO) and Swiss Re.

I am the founder of Harch Inc, a digital media company based in Tokyo and Yokohama city, Japan. We run the online circular economy platform called "Circular Economy Hub" and work with Japanese companies to accelerate a circular economy. We also host the local circular city initiative called "Circular Yokohama". I am very curious about bringing the concept of doughnut economy into Japan and now thinking of organizing a Doughnut workshop in Tokyo. I hope we could have a good collaboration across borders.

I am the founder and rector of the University for International Cooperation, responsible for the institutional development since 1994. I’ve been involved in promoting regenerative development based on the Planetary Boundaries and the “Safe operating space for humanity”, to create innovative solutions to the current challenges through holistic approaches based on transdisciplinary teams working integrally the economic, social, cultural, environmental, political and spiritual realms. In 2018 I launched the Regenerate Costa Rica initiative, a multi-organizational glocal collective process to transform the country into the first actively regenerative one to show the world that it is possible. Adopting the Doughnut Economics framework to move forward with regeneration was an easy choice. The motto is that “we co-create the future we want”, and we are still on time to do it at a global scale. We need to bounce beyond to a regenerative world, leaving the obsolete system behind.

Developing communities of practice and inquiry to link businesses and organisations interested in tackling the climate emergency through sustainable work practices. We envisage a hub bringing together like minded people and organisations, to act as a living lab, build and share good practice through projects and flourishing communities. Using our individual and collective agency to embed sustainable business models, circular design and supply chains and responsible management practices in an actionable, kind and ethical manner. Our projects link students, scholars and practitioners to build, test and embed MVPs (minimum viable products) that enable SMEs (Small to Medium Sized enterprises) to cut waste, design, build and deliver circular products and services. The ultimate aim of the hub, is to test approaches that can be replicated across the UK and Globally to help us to meet our UN Sustainable Development Goal commitments.

My work shows (1) that you prefer abundance-based agreements to scarcity-based ones, (2) lots of people have figured out how to live this way, for decades, with far better results and experiences, and (3) you can choose to shift your agreements, experiences, and outcomes to abundance-based. I develop and share this work through my research, writing, talks, teaching, and application, through the Institute for Strategic Clarity's global network, which includes affiliations at Harvard, itdUPM, and TEC EGADE.
