As a Design/Innovation expert and Professor, I have a great deal of influence - I'm here to co-develop persuasive arguments, inspirational stories and actionable frameworks that motivate people, organisations and governments to acknowledge the urgency for a comprehensive OS revamp and accelerate the transition towards its replacement.

I am a Community Builder by choice, working with founders, experts, and career changers to co-create purposeful change and act now. With initiatives like Fructify Network and its Program, Women Back To Work - Skill Set for Sustainability Careers, Fructify Network first #crowdfunding campaign, Züri walk & talk: mapping sustainable Zurich on foot, I connect people with resources and opportunities, I organize meetups, events, experience exchanges and I identify possible collaborations to move further together.

Seasoned professional with a strong background in operations management, process improvement, and project development. Possesses expertise in enhancing quality, reducing costs, improving service levels, and elevating customer satisfaction in large companies across the Telecom and Media industries, as well as in a biotech start-up. Passionate about family and genuinely curious about the future of next generations. I seek to understand and influence human behavior in all of my relationships, for a world with less judgment, more empathy, and more pursuit of happiness. Money is important, minimum infrastructure is also, but for me, community harmony is fundamental for complete happiness.

My name is Sara and I’m a climate social scientist, political activist, and science communicator focused on social-ecological resilience and the future of our planet and this is what brings me to the DEAL community. I’m very interested in understanding how frameworks are built to protect and safeguard people and the planet in a time like today. Earlier, I’ve been associated with some remarkable organisations such as LSE Cities, Sanctuary Asia magazine, the Sanctuary Nature Foundation, the World Resources Institute, Earth Day Network, among others. In my past as a divemaster, I have worked to support several coral restoration projects across Asia-Pacific, until I realised those are band-aid fixes, unless overall emissions come down and policy around fossil fuel and corporate expansion shifts, there isn’t much hope for our reefs. And so I came back to land. I’ve worked with the concepts of the Anthropocene, rewilding, community owned conservancies, citizen science and the climate system. I am interested in human behaviour, international governance, and social justice. I worry about environmental policy being geared towards constant resource exploitation through advances in technology, viewing natural resources from a purely economic activity linked to a GDP/trade statistics perspective. I also think about how human behaviour is shaped and influenced by its surroundings in the climate crisis. I enjoy designing public awareness campaigns, speaking to people and communities, writing, illustrating and looking for creative ways that help the public learn about, fall in love with and protect our green-blue dot. I write for and illustrate for Sanctuary Asia magazine and am always looking for knowledge translation writing projects and opportunities that can demystify earth science for the people. I love reading/run/swim/cycling in no particular order punctuated by being a couch potato. I have a special affinity towards socialist literature + memes and fluffy creatures of the biosphere.

Environmental land manager working for National Trust in Wiltshire. Enabling and steering the management of the Trusts land to restore nature, provide sustainable food and to benefit all. I believe that actions speak. I had not appreciated that Doughnut economics were rooted in Schumacher's vision that I was introduced to in school economics in the late 70's. It feels as though after a very long journey I have been having in the right direction all along. I just needed Kate's vision to bring it into focus.
