I am an Industrial Designer by training and keen design thinker. Over the 28 years I’ve been working my career has evolved to include training and workshops as well as coaching and mentoring. I was brought up living in the deep countryside by my two entrepreneurial parents who both ran eco-centric businesses and later studied for my Masters focussing on how to use design thinking to help SMEs overcome obstacles to embed sustainable practices within their businesses. Today I coach and train small business owners 1:1, offer group coaching and deliver training via workshops to help SMEs better understand the benefits of sustainable business practices. This can be de-mystifying Net 0 or looking at more sustainable business models in order to start to measure your impacts, support a shift in business culture towards values led leadership.

I am the Director for the Surrey Hills National Landscape, one of the family of 44 National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England. I lead on developing the statutory Management Plan for the Surrey Hills which sets out the vision and policy framework for the area. This is adopted by government and all public bodies have a duty to further the purpose of the designation by helping to deliver the Plan. I am keen to use the principles and practices of Donut Economics as the basis for developing the Surrey Hills Management Plan with a 75 year vision (2025 - 2100)

I am a 60 year old holistic practitioner who works with horses and land. Following ten years in professional science, I lived in France for 20 years, then returned to the UK where I retrained in Reiki and Kinesiology. I subsequently founded my holistic practice in Wiltshire, working with horses, people, other animals and land. I am passionate about the environment. And have been convinced for some years that the present form of capitalism is one of the greatest threats to our, and our planet's safety. It was through the Great Simplification Podcast, Nate Hagens in conversation with Kate Raworth, that I discovered Doughnuts. And so here I am!

I feel called to help bring forth a more coherent and harmonious way of living for all. Kate's teachings are energising and inspire me to use my skills to help on a practical level. I also follow Charles Eisenstein's work and am part of the New and Ancient Story (NaAS) community, a place where like-hearted people connect to share ideas on how we can remember our humanity to heal and build a better future together. My professional background is in marketing, and until recently I have been developing behaviour change campaigns for public health and safety. Through that work, I have seen how fear directs our society and I think it's time to change that. I am involved with a handful of community charities and projects, and see potential for change, but also the many roadblocks. I am on the Board of Trustees for Creative Stirling, a creative network for the city of Stirling (Scotland), that asserts change through enterprise, arts and culture working with and for all of Stirling’s diverse communities. Now I am signing up to DEAL to better understand how it works and how to bring positive change to Stirling via the networks that I have. Pleasure to be here.

Since 2021, I led the downscaling of the Doughnut to the transboundary area of the Greater Geneva (France, Switzerland) and to the University of Lausanne. I spent pretty much time working on the following issues : • how to downscale the Doughnut without loosing its deep ecology approach ? • which ecological indicators can we use at local and global scales ? • how to build a social basement based on the Theory of Human Needs approach (to ensure that a Safe and Just Space still exists) ? My colleague Cecilia Matasci, also from the University of Lausanne, created a method to evaluate the Global-Social impacts of the university, based on the imported modern slavery. I spent my less time on : • participative production of the downscaled Doughnut (we always did it between "experts") • transforming business models with Doughnut Economics • producing operationnal public policies driven by the Doughnut Model (on process with the Administration of the University of Lausanne, in 2024).
