Paula is the co-founder of the Mindfulness and Social Change Network which is exploring the potential for secular mindfulness to contribute to more sustainable, caring and socially just societies. Prior to teaching mindfulness, Paula spent ten years working in international development – initially for Oxfam GB, and later joined INTRAC (a civil society strengthening organisation) as their Training Manager. I am a systemic designer, researcher and activist with over a decade of co-design experience on Gadigal Country. My work is primarily focused on encouraging system-level transitions towards regenerative economics and bioregionally-adapted governance. I build upon my PhD explorations in my work with Regen Sydney as Mission Steward, using design-led approaches to embed relational ontologies, foster cross-sector alliances and identify structural leverage in the formation of new civic infrastructures. Many of the seeds for alternatives already exist amongst us, though often they might be found in silos or with limited spheres of influence. With a living systems approach, I seek to enable all to have voice and agency in collaboration, and ultimately to thrive in service to our complex entanglement.

hesitant to say I'm a 'farmer,' but I am working and learning with and within my ecosystem community, hoping to realize the doughnut not through self-sufficiency, but through community resilience
