I am a mother of 3 adult children, who are struggling to thrive in our inequitable capitalist society. I am trying to learn how we can change our society to support everyone and solve our horrific problems.

I am current MSc Candidate in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing. My program is joint between the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I'm originally from San Francisco and have a background in public health, working in vaccine outreach for unhoused individuals and in public health partnerships. I am pursuing this Master's to gain a stronger understanding of the mechanisms through which health systems are structured and health issues are tackled from structural approach. I started delving into Doughtnut Economics at the advice of a professor and have been enthralled since.

I grew up in Rishi Valley, an alternative school in southern India located amongst a beautiful reforested valley and living very close to nature. I've lived and worked in Auroville and then set up a circular start-up in the UK which went bust during COVID. I now work in impact investment, trying to reach investors and help bridge the finance gap for solutions we need. I am interested in and

Hello, I'm a writer and a health worker. I would like to have your critics about my ideas. First : to run our countries, our presidential elections, which are highly expensive, could be replaced by a competitive exam with scientific subjects like mathematics, physics, biology. The competitive exam would be open to everyone for a very small amount of money. They would be really democratic. (Far more democratic than the actual system. I don't want to vote because I don't know if the candidate will be able. What tells me that a candidate is intelligent ? Nothing. Mathematics does the job. It must be completed with some other knowledged but no longer communication abilities and dirty money). Second idea : I m a health worker and my patients are elderly persons that lose their autonomy. They must often go in retirement home which is very expensive and sad. They would like to stay home if they could. They could do so if they had someone who would live at their home to care for them at night. They often fall at night. This is the main reason why they can t stay home. Having someone who lives at your home is very expensive. Impossible. Besides many refugies do not have a home to stay. I would like to promote the idea of an organisation that would do the link between the 2 needs. An organisation that would supervise that there is no abuse like modern slavery. The elderly person could pay a small money for that organisation. Refugies would no longer be a charge for the nations but would be savers.

I work as a full time GP in a coastal North Devon town and I am trying to prepare our practice to achieve NetZero status. We are also to trying to align ourselves with the broader 17 UN sustainability goals. I have just read Kate Raworth's Doughnut Economics and I am enthused to discover that it provides a blueprint to escaping the GDP Growth trap that we are ensnared in.
