Hi, I work within the Sustainability/ESG space within the Agricultural sector, the Deal Community, the concepts of Doughnut Economics and importantly my ability to direct change within my work and social space appealed to my environmental stewardship ideals. Marrying these principles and ideas into an economic framework for change, seems a fairly decent idea, moreover, it's very engaging as a cerebral motivation. Biodiversity linked to commercially viable value propositions that enable better social license and human endeavor are especially interesting. Political intelligence outside the mainstream bias always an engaging subject when overlaying change which differs from normal community outcomes.

I've been interested in regenerative practices for many years.  Much of my career has been focused on regenerative local practices and food systems as well as indigenous ways of being, knowing and doing.  I recently returned to school to get my masters in regenerative practices and economics and am interested in connecting with others in this group to learn a lot more about other events and practices in other communities and what they are doing to reframe their economics.   

I am currently a junior at Carthage College studying International Politics and Sustainability.  After graduation, I hope to work in Global Sustainability and Development.  I grew up on a farm with horses and chickens, and love to be outdoors, travel, read, and paint (among other things).  About two years ago I first read Doughnut Economics and fell in love with Raworth's ideas.  Since then I have committed myself to the study of similar theories and discourses to leverage my skills throughout my future career.  I discovered this program a few months ago and am so excited to be a part of a community with so many like-minded individuals!
