I have worked in local government, third sector, and public audit. I also helped set up the Office of the Commissioner for Future Generations, Wales. I first came across the Doughnut in 2011 when working on the Well-being of Future Generations Act. After reading the book both my interest and inspiration deepened. I am an urban development specialist from South Africa. I am passionate about working with like-minded people to contribute to the creation of cities that provide equal opportunities for all, while developing sustainably, within the planetary boundaries. What really excites me about doughnut economics is the aim to tackle inequality while also dealing with climate change. It is difficult (potentially overwhelming) trying to deal with both pressing issues, and more often than not, they’re disconnected in implementation. I am excited about exploring the doughnut principles in more detail in the developing world/South African city context, where basic needs have not yet been met and poverty, inequality and unemployment are rife.

Lifelong learner, proud weirdo, who loves collaborative innovation, systems design & talking to strangers. I'm a musician, music & creativity coach and songwriter. I also love to instigate events, online or in person where we can cultivate the best of our innate creativity and resourcefulness as humans and make new connection points with others. Once upon a time I completed a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in Sydney Australia, with a focus on bioclimatic / site-specific design, with tendrils of exploration into collaborative and community design processes...

Urbanism and its social dimension have fascinated me ever since I had an 'aha' moment in an anthropology lecture during my sociology studies. I have recently submitted my thesis on urban planning and gender mainstreaming and would like to continue to work on these issues to possibly help ensure that our cities offer equal opportunities for all people in the future. I am always open to exchange and cooperation, because together we can achieve a lot. I look forward to making new contacts on this platform (I speak German, English and Spanish).

Hi everyone. The natural world has always been my passion. I studied environmental science and I thought the best way to protect the environment was to help companies to meet their targets whilst reducing their impact in the environment. Therefore I worked as an in-house sustainability manager for Sony Pictures, and I currently work as a sustainability consultant focused in carbon management. My interest has shifted from "reducing the companies' impact" to creating systems that actually work for the people and the planet, which is what brought me here. I look forward to connecting with like-minded people and to glimpse new ways of doing things. Originally from Málaga, Spain, currently living in London
