Francesco Marongiu
Putney, England, Regno Unito
Originally from Italy, I have been living in London for about nine years now. I have eclectic working experiences, coming from a line of environmental engineering (wastewater treatment) and inventorship, I studied art and humanities and I am now an artist and a freelance photographer. To bring bread to the table I work in food distribution and in customer oriented environments since I moved to UK, although last year I founded with like-minded people Alberea, a start up and b-corp that aims to plant 15 million trees by 2030, in order to fight desertification in the Mediterranean area while helping other business to move to more sustainable practices and creating a cultural momentum around environmental emergency awareness.

I’m a third-gen Angeleno who was taught surfing from my father at a young age. Perhaps that’s why I have such reverence for the sea. Also love jazz & dogs (especially my 10-year-old boxer pit, Pacino).

Always technology and science-driven, I would describe myself as a very restlessness person eager to learn new things, to be able to reach new goals and very comfortable in changing environments and situations. At professional level I would highlight my creativity and analytic capacity to understand process, context and circumstances, to fragment them into more understandable blocks and to rephrase them as needed to become their optimal version. I guess as an engineer I always have this background idea of wanting to find solutions and to fix problems. At personal level I would describe myself as a very communicative person with very high capacity to establish bonds with peers and with clients based on a mixture of transparency, consensus and empathy together by leading through the example. At a team level I try to become the enabler person that gets things done and blockers removed to facilitate the work of the team. My aims and passions are much related with nature and travelling.

Virginia Wilcox
Holland, Michigan, United States of America
Virginia is a solo-mama of a 4 year old daughter, a trauma survivor, a singer and Chief Listening Officer of Amplify The Heart. Virginia sees "business" as potential pathway to sustainability, lessening the suffering of the planet through the work that we make and the energy we contribute to the future we are all co-creating. Virginia is a current student of the science of compassion at Stanford University CCARE's Applied Compassion Training Program. Her studies of Polyvagal Theory and the practice of Circling Method have given her a keen understanding of the dynamics of mind/body in relationship, which she brings with her, always, as she holds space as a group facilitator and internal experience guide. She is learning how to grow vegetables.

Hi, I'm Diane. I'm a permaculturist and a co-founder (with my partner Mark) of The GREEN Team Canterbury (on Facebook). With our goods recycling initiative, we are striving to prevent the waste of usable, recyclable and upcyclable items and help create a circular economy in our university city of Canterbury in Kent, UK. We also are creating permaculture gardens on the council land around the council flat we live in and do maintenance and clear ups of fly tipping/litter around the estate of Hales Place we live in, and strive to build community here. I have joined as I had heard of donut economics and just watched a great video discussion with Caroline Lucas hosting. It seems like an important part of the solution.

I'm a father of 3 working in the different Digital waves as a Design Strategist, Technologist and Change Agent for big companies and startups for more than 25 years. I've been working in Fjord, Accenture, World Economic Forum and I'm a Fellow of Aspen Institute. I have built teams, companies and I share my experience mentoring executives and in talks, business schools and creative communities. I could say I have been successful in changing the mindset of many people in companies, but in the end, when it comes to business, everything is about growth so I believe that the way many businesses talk about Sustainability is a placebo to free people from guilt and keep business as usual. We need humility, generosity, imagination and experienced people to make change real. In my position as a creative person surrounded by students and senior people, I feel I have a privileged view to learn from different worldviews mixing the future and the experience and connect them.
