What images would you choose to bring the words of Kate's 2020 RSA lecture - on what it takes for cities to get into the Doughnut - to life?
What images would you choose to bring the words of Kate's 2020 RSA lecture - on what it takes for cities to get into the Doughnut - to life?
Well this year's RSA Student Design Awards have asked just that, and set it as one of the two design briefs for their 2021-22 competition.
Who for: The RSA Student Design Awards are for emerging designers worldwide, and challenges students and recent graduates to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking.
The brief: Conceive and produce an animation to accompany this minute-long audio file from Kate's 2020 RSA lecture, that will clarify, energise and illuminate the content.
Key dates:
- Sep 2021: Briefs launch, registration opens - register here
- 24 Jan 2022: Submissions open
- 9 Feb, 4pm GMT: Early bird submissions deadline (£25 entry fee)
- 9 Mar, 4pm GMT: Final submissions deadline (£35 entry fee)
- Mar - May: Judging (2 stages: shortlisting and interviews with finalists)
- 29 Jun: Awards ceremony
