Our purpose is to help people across Greater Geneva move towards practices that are accessible, local, and respectful of planetary boundaries and the social foundation, in line with the concept of Doughnut Economics. An initiative developed with the support of the City and State of Geneva and the association Climate Fresk Switzerland.
Mission Genève Durable organises participatory, accessible and engaging workshops and activities to help people explore more sustainable ways of living. The programme covers climate, biodiversity, planetary boundaries, sustainable consumption, climate adaptation and sustainable well-being.
Activities include interactive workshops and Fresks, as well as guided walks and discovery activities connecting participants with local transition initiatives. The focus is on planetary boundaries as well as social issues.
The organisation aims to help people move from understanding global challenges to exploring and adopting practical, local solutions.
Mission Genève Durable works with public authorities, including the City and State of Geneva, as well as local and regional organisations involved in the ecological and social transition. It collaborates with NGOs and associations, businesses, educational institutions and community initiatives. The organisation thus connects citizens with actors working on climate, biodiversity, sustainable consumption and other transition-related issues.
