Doughnut Economics About DEAL News & Updates Meet the DEAL Team Careers FAQ Wider Movement Contact UsThe Response Institute is a Local Initiative with Global Impact: A movement originating in the central-west region of São Paulo, bringing together citizens, public administration, and businesses to create a region committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Response Institute's main activities for 2025 include Art in the City, painting murals with local artists, the Outstanding Teacher Award, recognizing excellence in early childhood education, and the Dare to Dream Project, fostering leadership among youth. The Together Now Project supports students' professional and personal growth, while Conscious Capitalism and Doughnut Economics promote fair and sustainable business practices. The institute will also host TEDxLençóis Paulista, share impactful ideas, and organize Donut Day to promote Doughnut Economics. Lastly, Training Courses will raise awareness about sustainability and encourage sustainable practices in everyday life.
The Repense Institute collaborates closely with local institutions in Lençóis Paulista, including the Municipal Government, Department of Education, Department of the Environment, and Social Assistance, to drive sustainable initiatives across the city. We work with the Department of Education on educational programs that support students’ professional and personal development. At the same time, the Department of the Environment contributes to projects focused on ecological regeneration—additionally, the institute partners with regional private companies committed to sustainability and other like-minded institutes. Our work also engages the local community, fostering a unified effort towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
We affirm that that our vision, values, and ways of working are aligned with those of Doughnut Economics.
