For over 8 years I was building a "predestined" career in hospitality thanks to certain pressures from our family business. After years of yearning for a purpose and a more fulfilling career & lifestyle, I recently "greenquit" my job in luxury hospitality and started working at a cleantech company in Norway. I've been increasingly intrigued and inspired by learning about climate science, degrowth, circular economy and frankly any topic related to a more sustainable future. Of course it wasn't long until I heard about Doughnut Economics. Since this shift, I've been motivated and excited to understand the challenges that ail our society & environment, and find ways to contribute to the solutions required to overcome them.

I grew up in Rishi Valley, an alternative school in southern India located amongst a beautiful reforested valley and living very close to nature. I've lived and worked in Auroville and then set up a circular start-up in the UK which went bust during COVID. I now work in impact investment, trying to reach investors and help bridge the finance gap for solutions we need. I am interested in and

I am an entrepreneur and food business co-founder operating in northern Finland. I am passionate about redefining the traditional business model with its focus on growth and profit at the cost of all other considerations. I am trying to build a company which • enriches, benefits and positively impacts its collaborators, consumers and the environment in which we operate • reduces any negative environmental and societal impacts • sets a positive example of how to run business in an impactful way that puts people and the environment at the centre of our model

I founded Citizen Kind in 2018, born out of frustration with the way that business as usual (BAU) was destroying the planet and ruining the lives of humans and animals. I pledged then to use my skills and experiences as a business leader and talent expert to advocate for a sustainable transition and create positive impact, and enable others to do the same. I am an student of 3th semester of PhD. on economics at the Economic Research Institute of National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research is about biophisical limits of mexican economy, but I have a strong interest to develop a doughnut economic model for Mexican economy. I would really love to receive guidance in this regard. I had worked on climate change since 2007, mostly on GHG mitigation actions and GHG inventories using GHG protocol and IPCC guidelines. I worked for 8 yearsat the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC), I and I was part of the team that developed the Fourth and Fifth National Communications, and First BUR for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). But it was right after this job that I realized I had to know economics, and I did a master's degree in economics at the same institute. I believe that economics has led humanity in actions and thought, and if you want to make a proposal, it should go in that direction. I am also taking the second module of Common earth and I can contribute to this network everything I know about ecological footprints, carbon footprints, emissions inventories and systems thinking, as well as what will result from my research.

Hi, my name is Sílvia, I live in the wonderful city of Braga upt in the North of Portugal. I am a trained economist, a marketing enthusiast and a social entrepreneur at heart. I started my own business in Marketing & Communication in 2010 and in 2020 I founded my own brand: re.store! re.store is the Planet-and-People friendly brand built on the circularuty principles. We upcycle textile waste, leftovers and samples from the Portuguese textile industry (so far, +6.e tons) and transform them into new, functional products with a purpose. All our products are stitched by our social partners (social institutions, refugees, prison inmates, social causes) to whom we pay a financial salary (+€58k so far) and an emotional one because we foster their self esteem and sense of belonging in society. We also share our experience, stories and motivation at schools and universities as well as in organizations because we believe we must contribute to the collective awareness that we need to change and transform our consumer behaviour. And this is the 3rd P in our strategy: Pedagogy for change (1st being People and 2nd being Planet). I am thrilled to be able to join this community, to share our experience and concerns and learn from others, thus contributing to the importance of a sustainable and socially inclusive TOMORROW!
