Hi everyone! I'm Caty, co founder at Intaconnected. Since my time working with Oxfam I have been curious and admiring of Doughnut Economics and today I feel lucky to have chosen a career journey/purpose that is constantly learning and creating new ways to incentivise and mobilise business and finance towards transformational business models that will accelerate our collective journey to a Net Positive future. It is fun to keep learning and testing different ways to translate regenerative economics and frameworks like the Doughnut into practical solutions for organisations - to upskill businesses and provide clear pathways at each step along the journey to a safe, just and equitable future. We don't have much time left, so it is a thrill to be able to join this inspiring community and I hope to contribute my part in disseminating this amazing theory into practice thanks to your brilliant tools and techniques. I look forward to learning with and form you all! #regenerativebusiness #safefuture #planetaryboundaries `#humanity #biodiversity

Founder of The Shady Lanes Project and member of Regen Brisbane When I started my verge garden, my reason was simple. I was fed up with mowing it. Back then, I had no idea where it would lead me. Now I think verge gardens could be the key to saving us from the worst of climate change and biodiversity loss. Big claim for unimportant little bits of land, you might say. Come on the journey and see if you change your mind. The Shady Lanes Project is about a lot more than us all planting out our little patches. It’s about bringing diverse people together to learn how to collaborate by doing. It’s about changing the way we see nature. It’s about eco-systems thinking. Most of all, it’s about learning by doing the doable - and making what’s doable grow. [ShadyLanes_verge_eastward.jpg] [ ] Find out more: Website - Substack and newsletter

I'm a 50-something doughtnut (economics) lover with a passion for our planet and deep-seated exasperation with the slow speed of change in my country and globally. It's blindingly obvious to me that in everything we do, we have to start with the earth first. I'm reading Kate's book right now, and wondering what I can do to move these ideas forward. My MP appears to be about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I'm interested in perhaps trying to apply doughnut economics in a local way to start with.

I'm a human being in continous evolution, always seeking for learning from nature and other truth seekers! Along the way I've been learning about tourism, indigenous communities, reforestation, , permaculture, bio costruction, meditation, yoga, fair trade, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, syncronicity, vortex math, unified physics and always looking for integrating all the experiences life has brought me to envision a better world by being a better person everyday.

Living remotely in Wales, post covid, I've been thinking about Community Resilience Community Sufficiency, and Low Tech solutions to issues faced. Wales is full of remnants of agrarian society/economies. Almost everything was taken from the land and produced and consumed locally. Im interested to see what can be reinvigorated and what still works in today's civilization. The following is taken from my CV: A resourceful and technically proficient project manager with a diverse background in IT, Post Production, AV, Events, and Installations. Skilled in managing both internal operations and externally facing projects, I have successfully collaborated with clients across the globe in various verticals and industries. With a strong enthusiasm for automation, I am a logical thinker who brings extensive experience to streamline processes and drive efficiency. # Low Tech # Community Sufficiency # Community Resilience

I began reading the book this week, and I am so pleased to read it. As a classically trained economics and finance major from 25 years ago, I never liked the lack of a "price" for externalities - I recognised then, as I do now the real social cost of these. So I am so happy to be a part of this community, and I want to help spread the word. I was hoping someone had taken the content and made it available on a creative commons type platform to share it, and for more ideas and communities to be created from it. And here it is! So very please!

Hello! I found my way to the DEAL community after Googling "must-read books on . My Google search was inspired by my desire to do something beyond the scope of the Holistic certification I recently earned. I desperately desire to help fix a broken system rather than help others navigate and survive one. As a critical thinker, puzzle lover, and management enthusiast—reading Doughnut made me excited about finally having a framework that made saving the world more than just a fanciful dream. Having been in the service and marketing industry for much of my professional life—I've always been conflicted by my love for wonderfully made and curated things and what it took for those things to come to be. While I am great at connecting people and dots—I am currently looking into Environmental Studies undergraduate degrees and possibly an MPA or other advanced degree that will make me even more useful to this cause. I am particularly interested in , , and . I'm itching to start, but I don't know exactly where and how. I'm hoping joining this community will help me find where I fit and can best contribute! A balance of being outside in and combing through would be ideal.

My name is Valérie M. Saintot. I am a lawyer (since 1994), doctoral supervisor (since 2022) with Gloucestershire University, adjunct professor (since 2021) with SKEMA business school, visiting lecturer at Bucerius Law School (since 2020) and Karlstad Business School (since 2023). I am also a certified mindfulness teacher (since 2005) and initiator of a mediation room at work (mindulness at work). I am an active member and ambassador for human-centric AI with the Liquid Legal Institute. I am member of a task force on AI in higher education with Z-Inspection. My studies and professional experience is at the crossroad of law, economics (20+ years as European central banker). At present I work on projecting the Doughnut Economics into Doughnut Law and Doughnut AI as the relation between human-artificial intelligence appear to me key to conceptualise. I build on analytical frameworks offered by mindfulness, neuropsychology, and philosophy. One side focus is my care to promote that citizens are informed and heard in relation to AI. I have developped with some peers a coaching format building on the Inner Development Goals to help promote the vision that the inner conditions of the leaders is key their decisions and societal impact.
